Harvesting and Storage of Solar Energy

SunStorage proposes the development of two disruptive technologies based on critical scientific background, research facilities and lab experience of the partners.

The envisioned technologies are: Direct conversion of sunlight into storable electrochemical energy through a photoelectrochemical device using a tandem photoelectrode, and the direct conversion of sunlight into storable chemical energy using a photoelectrochemical device for electroreducing CO2 to CO and to MeOH, when H2 and water are supplied to the cathode.
